When Light Breaks Through: Hotel du Vin in Autumn's Final Act"
Latest release for sale is this mixed media piece capturing that magical moment when autumn sunlight pierced through storm clouds at Henley Brewery, now Hotel du Vin.
The contrast between the gleaming white walls and shadowed red brick was irresistible - had to capture those dramatic light shifts with gouache and oil pastel to really bring out the textures and depth.

Four Views, One Vision:
Borgo di Pietrafittia Commission
This Chianti venue's complex layout required four different watercolor studies to capture the main villa, entrance, and historic chapel from various angles. Working in monochrome, I focused on form, light, and shadow - using some artistic license to reveal the buildings' true character by clearing away obscuring vegetation.
When my clients saw all four paintings together, they chose to keep this collection as their final piece rather than moving to color. Sometimes the studies become the masterpiece.
Commission completed for a special Tuscan venue that will host countless love stories. 🎨
